Mary Frances (Taylor) Currin

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have
kept the faith: 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of
righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give
me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that

love his appearing.”
ll Timothy 4:7-8

Mary Frances Taylor Currin was the first born of
six children to Dock and Virginia Taylor. Two
sisters and three brothers preceded her in death; two
half brothers and one half sister also preceded her in
death.

She attended Haywood and Lauderdale County
public schools.

She was later united in holy matrimony to Mr.
Jocephus Currin, Sr.. To that union six children
were born. Two children preceded her in death.

She accepted Christ as her personal Savior in the
70’s at Ashport C.O.G.I.C. which is now known
as Spiller Hill C.O.G.I.C. She was, at one time, a
choir member, she also worked in the Nursery, she
was, at one time, #2 Women Sunday School Class
Secretary and she served on the Mother’s Board.

She leaves cherished memories with her three sons,
Jocephus Currin, ll (Katina) of Smyrna, GA.
Dexter Currin of Ripley, TN, Malcolm Currin, Sr.
of Detroit, MI, one daughter, Carmen L. Brown of Ripley, TN, seven grandchildren, five great-
grandchildren, where one preceded her in death, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
many, many friends.
